Cobra 25 LTD Classic Mfg.Nov.22 low audio
Good day all,
First I cannot find any schematic or service manual for the radio.
Anyway, Here's the issue. It has low RX audio only, both speaker and Ext.Speaker. All other functions work. The s-meter is also reading low. So it must be and issue before the meter. I am assuming it is possibly an AF amp? I don't think its a cap, its a relatively new radio. The board # is KEPC-1111-X3.
Does anyone have access to schematics or service info? Or does anyone have another thought on where I'm losing the AF gain???
Thanks a lot guys. I sure do like this site.

Re: Cobra 25 LTD Classic Mfg.Nov.22 low audio
Greg,
Well, I'm going to say weak. If the skip is coming in strong you probably wouldn't notice it. I have a 2nd good radio(same) and the volume control on the weak audio radio in 2:1. Meaning, weak audio radio needs to be 100% and the good radio at 50% volume to get similar results.
hope this helps.
It maybe the audio Chip?
