572B tube data for heathkit 3117

Post by galaxy95Tman »

Was hoping someone has tube testing data for the 572B tube for a heathkit 3117? I have the data book for 3117 but 572B is not listed. Done a bunch of searching on net and came up dry. Thanks for any help.

You will probably have to cross reference the spec's with a tube on your chart, that tube wasn't in production when Heathkit went out of business. If you can't match it don't guess, those tubes run about $80 . Just put it back in the amp and see what it does.

I have a listing for an 811A. It says under the data "requires jumper from plate cap to pin 5 of any other tube socket." Is plate cap the wire/connector that goes on top of tube? Where is pin 5? Thanks

Yes

There isn't any fifth pin on an 811 if I'm interpreting what they're telling you to do correctly is to connect a jumper from the plate cap to any other tube socket that has a fifth pin.

This is for the tube sockets viewed from the bottom if your looking at them from the top reverse it.
