i have a eagle tomahawk and was wondering if any one on here know how to put Variable Power kit in one

have no idea for a variable for this radio. I have its sister radio, a cherokee cb1000 base radio and never even thought about variable for it.

I've never seen a variable power mod for that radio either, most just turn the AM carrier down to 2w, the pot is RV4. RV5 is modulation adjustment.

that is what I did with my cherokee when I tried a amp on the base a few years ago.

a variable could be put on this radio but you would have to remove the original VR from the board and put a external on it with wires running to the location you would pull the stock VR from. not really sure you would want to do that. if you want a variable to run a amp with I would just lower the dead key to 2 watts and be done with it.

I agree it is not worth the effort, best drop the radio's wattage and use a variable output amplifier.
