Flip it over and snap a pic back at that final, looks like something was added on the component side too.

Seems to be working fine. Haven't been using it much as I've got a cobra 200 GTL DX, but I do like all of my radios to be in tip top shape... I actually got this radio for free! I'm not the world's greatest CB tech... so I'm gonna have to see if there are any decent CB shops here in town...

no talkback... still not sure what it could be.

the easiest way would be lift one leg and see what changes if any thing does. could even be a audio mod to get more out of the radio. if I have a item I am not sure of I just lift a leg and see what changes if any thing. some guys will do mods that will not really do any thing to the radio as far as you being able to tell.

Iron was too cold to make the solder flow.

The mod has to be an AM DK mod, not seeing a big cap change or anything else on the component side.

Hey, don't criticize those solder joints. Some of us would kill to be that good. I really get excited just getting the solder to melt, much less getting it to flow and in the right places ... now that's really something.

Yes, many of us could us a (lot of) soldering lesson. But first we'd need to know what to solder, why to solder it and where.

Also, jon6667, you can tell us what you think it is in non-graphic, non-adversarial, non-competitive, non-political language and still get your point across. If it's still a little sketchy, the moderators here are real good at selective censoring. Give it a shot, how long could they, would they ban you for anyway?

Now so far as warnings go ... I wouldn't worry I get warnings all the time from moderators, family members, wife, cops, FBI, NSA, CIA, NCIS, Mark Harmon, my Bishop etc. etc. I think it's all good until they actually do something. Then it's too late and there's nothing you can do anyway so, why worry?

It's always easier to get forgiveness than permission you know.

my boy dog he would sniff around on some one and if he did not like the smell up that leg would come. he would spray them good. another dog could walk up to him and bark at him and up that leg would go and wet all over them. they would take off like he bit them.

best way to learn. is get some busted radios try your hand at desoldering and soldering. practice makes perfect
