I have a cobra 90 ltd just got it going does anyone know of any mods that can be done to this to up the performance

There is not a lot can be done to them, I would adjust L303, L304, and L305 to decrease the wattage to 3 watts across the band, this gives the final some breathing room (swing) then adjust RV201 for maximum modulation. Not worth doing a channel mod, too many 10m conversion radios out on the market these days.
