Any one know how to get a little extra power out of this radio? I use it in my car because of its smaller size and it does pretty well, I would just like a little more modulation.

Short answer would be to tune it up. Turning some controls inside.... vr5 is the modulation control. AM Power is L8, L9, L10 and L13. AMC is D9.

Mine are holding out just fine :P no heat, no lost in modulation, ALL GOOD (Y). also i did clip the D7 (diode) was it worth it? i have been told its louder. But also i droped that lovely stock mic (1000 ohm) that came with the radio and wired up a Realistic 500 ohm mic.
being running it like it for about 2 months.
