Base Station and Mobile Network Help

#346456

Post by BWNetwork »

Hi all, We own a weekend cabin down in the hills of southern Missouri and were looking into setting both a base and mobile cb network up for 5-6 neighbors within a 5 mile radius. We are new to this and thought this may be a great safety and communication tool for all involved. 2-way radios do not work well as we are in some pretty good hills. We are looking for something that will work well but will be cost effective for all involved. Thanks for all your help in advance.

Check the sponsor's sites, get an idea of what things are going to cost. Look at what will be best for the group, the vehicles to be installed in, types of antennas, both base and mobile. If the group is planning to buy everything at one time I am sure the sponsor will give you a break on the prices or if individually tell them you are a member of the site.

stated numerous times and I will repeat, "don't skimp when it comes to antennas" you get what you pay for in that respect.
