450 watt fatboy amp
anyone know anything about fatboy amps.are they good amps.i just got a 450 watt fatboy amp still in box going to hook it up this weekend

it is 450 watt 2x2879 my radio was set up 3 watt deadkey i got this amp off internet and this is what it said will need 6-12 watt input deadkey and 25 watts pep do i need to get the deadkey turned up to 6-12 watts im thinking im not geting all i can out of this amp.im very new at all this. this old timer said set deadkey 3 watts and leave it alone i dont know and wood like some help thanks i love this web site its gratelinx wrote:They're great amps. Marketing literature is not always truthful. Toshiba's 2sc2879 transistors are rated at 100 watts PEP each. Two of them in parallel will produce 200 watts. Drive them any harder and they will blow out. That's the truth of it.

Tailgate, that's a good amp , I guess my first question is what radio are you running, You have stated that it has a 3 watt DK , what does the radio swing? Seems to me that would be a good amp for a dual final radio, like a General Lee or such.
