galaxy dx 44v

i have a galaxy dx 44v when you switch it from hi to low band with band selector on e band the channel display goes out and it just does it on e band on low thank you

clean the controls and see how it works. I ave a 44 that did some of the same things and the controls were just dirty and not making contacts.clean them and now it works just fine. I got mine for 40.00 shipped to the house not working properly and that was all that was wrong with it. switches and controls were dirty and not making contact all the time. could have a bad solder joint but would do the clean up 1st.
