Need Help
I dropped my Uniden bc 880 and broke the shaft for the channel selector. Can anyone help in finding a replacement channel selector? I can probably replace it myself. Uniden wants $50.00 plus shipping for repair.

Re: Need Help
There is a used Uniden 880 on the auction site right now listed "Buy Now" price of $24.95 with a $5 S&H...If your going to do it yourself, that would probably be the cheapest way to go...Just buy another radio and use it for parts.
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Re: Need Help
JJD I had seen that one and was thinking about some parts. I have one of the 880 radios that works fine and was debating about buying it. I think the guy had a 980 for 5.00 higher also.

Re: Need Help
Guy doesn't say what's wrong with it...if anything...Could be just fine like it is, and just needs a Mic and power cord...Only 980 he has listed now is $89...But he also has a Uniden BC906W wireless Mic listed for $27.95 free shipping which is a heck of a deal! And that Mic works with the 680,880, and 980 radios.sonoma wrote:JJD I had seen that one and was thinking about some parts. Re: Need Help
I went to cb world web site and ordered a channel selector for 9 bucks plus shipping and fixed my radio myself.

Glad you went with a sponsor instead of that auction site, something you don't know what your getting until you open the box. just because it's not on their website doesn't necessarily mean they don't have one, never hurts to call and ask. CB World has a decent supply of parts.

Re: Need Help
O.K. are you a novice or a tech? Was it hard to install? How long did it take?
I have a Cobra 29 Classic that needs a new channel display and I have a non-working donor but it looked like I'd need a degree in engineering, a blow torch and maybe a good lawyer to get the job done right so I left it sitting on a shelf.
I've never checked out cb world web site. Guess I'd better do it before asking any more questions.
Thanks.

No I'm not a tech, just mechanically inclined and can fix things.
