Re: Behringer 1202FX Mixer
Are you trying to run the microphone through the mixer to control your sound at transmit? I have one of my old studio recording mics and I running through my studio effects processor and then into the base mic. But, if that's your goal, you could replace the "processor" with the mixer. Behringer makes good stuff and it is low budget, but, it works just fine for most applications. If you have any questions, give me a shout. I have run studio and live sound on for bands for years.

Well i officially got it hooked up and got everything running. I also added an audio compressor inline as well. Got a lot of locals up in my area that say this radio is the cleanest and greatest radio that they have ever heard. I will post pics as soon as i get a chance too.

Yeah the compressors are the best effect, a little reverb is nice too.
And a parabolic EQ goes a long way.
There is also some very cool software that can provide all this stuff through your PC.
You will need a decent sound card however and a mic that has good feq responce.
All this stuff will raise your average power output and sound killer when adjusted right.
Do some searching on google for eSSB. Hope that helps.

Re: Behringer 1202FX Mixer
Glad that project turned out well for you. The Hams have been using a W2IHY (google it) speech processor/EQ for a long time now and some of those guys sound bodacious on the HF bands. I have been considering emailing or calling the guy to see if he would be interested in producing a simple EQ for CB's. He could sure make a lot of money doing it. A little 4 band EQ with mounting bracket for mobile would be sweet. Anyway, just a thought.
