High School Football Playoff Schedule - Weekend #2

The Oil City Oilers, who defeated Warren 41-21 in the opening round of the District 10 "AAA" football playoffs on Friday, will meet Cathedral Prep in a semifinal showdown Friday, November 19th at 7:00 PM at Veterans Stadium in Erie.

The Ramblers (6-4) earned a first-round bye in the tournament after having captured the Region 6 title, going a perfect 6-0 in region play. All four of Cathedral Prep's losses came in non-region play, and three were in contests against out-of-state teams. Oil City (9-2) has posted more victories his season than any previous Oilers team, with the exeception of the 1998 squad, which went 11-1 and captured the D-10 championship.

The Friday semifinal contest can be heard on 96.3 KQW, with Dave Hildebrand and Joe Lodanosky providing the call of the game. The broadcast will start at 5:45 PM with Tim Shaw hosting another playoff edition of the "Friday Nigth Tailgate Program."


Following is the schedule of playoff games for the upcoming weekend:

District 10 "AAA" Semifinals - (Games at 7:00 PM on Friday, November 19th)
