102" fiberglass antenna

Post by renegade6811 »

I have a fiberglass antenna that I'm supposed to run with a flag on certain job sites. My question is it has to go on a van, should I mount it on the back bumper or do I dare drill into the side of it and if so where?

I would use a ball mount with some 8x coax on the drivers side near the rear of the van. About 3-4 ft above the ground.

Well my fiberglass antenna was broke so I've got a 5' fire stick antenna on the roof of my van channel 1 swr's are 1.41 and 40 is 1 flat. But the CB seems really quiet. Is even 19 that dead?

Antenna was bad so I put a firestik 5' on the roof, set channel 1 is at 1.41 and channel 40 is at a 1. But I can't believe how dead the radio is, heard a ringing on ssb 1-40 and it just stayed the same so I gave up we'll try again tomorrow.

My radios all work just fine, and channel 19 and the other 39 channels are all "dead" too!

Must be some kind of cb virus... lol
