One step closer to my moxon

Post by poboy309 »

I wasn't having much luck with dx today so I decided to make an air choke which can be easily removed and reused on my next antenna (future moxon).
With the bad connector on the coax, I had no issue with cutting it off. I soldered the shield to one bolt and the conductor to the other. I drilled holes and elongated them towards the direction I was to wind the coax. This kept any sharp bends to a minimum.

2 inch pvc tube
1 - 2 inch cap
18' of rg8x (had a bad end)
2 - 1/4" bolts with washers and nuts
2 - eyelets for wire connections
