wheres a good place to buy an amp?

Cany anyone tell me a good site to buy an amp from?im looking to buy a 500 or 600 watt transistor base amp that will sound good on side band also.thanks

any of the sponsors page. I especially like redman's prices and he answers any question about the amp before you purchase it.

I don't want to cause any problems and post something I shouldn't or against Forum Rules but if you want to PM me I will provide you with and good amplifier that i think you would like but as already mentioned above those names I supposed you will be happy with too and keep in mind it has a lot to do with what radio you are running with any amplifier.

I was thinking of buying the 600 watt base amp thats fat boy makesfrom amateur linear amplifiers but they dont ahve any prices on there site for some reason.I dont even see a way to order it or get a price.anyone know?

Check out a Hamfest. Google hamfests. You'll get a feel from chatting with others at a hamfest who is reputable and who will take you to the cleaners. You could always go with new amp too like Ameritron or Alpha but you'll be paying out the nose.

I have a harris RF 103A that runs a 4-1000 with 100 pep in is 1500 out with 300 pep in is 4000 out. Here is a pic of the amp.

I went to the Fatboy site and you contact them by email. Davemade can be contacted through their email address then he'll send you a phone #. Xforce has their phone number and email address there for all to see. Redman's Cb Shop carries fatboys, no surprise there being you are a 5 year forum member. :icon_e_wink:
