UPS

Post by jon6667 » Friday, 25 November 2016, 12:54 PM

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW DUMB UPS DRIVERS ARE.
I ORDERED A NEW TABLET COMPUTER.
THE DUMBO LEAVES IT ON THE PORCH IN THE POURING RAIN. INSTEAD OF OPENING THE DOOR AND PUT IT IN THE BREEZEWAY.
WHAT A CENCORED

UPS drivers aren't allowed to open doors and place packages inside...should have put the package in a plastic bag if it was raining tho.

Just like the USPS, they don't give a rats (expletive). I live at an address that is a half number like 100 1/2 Shmuckatelli Blvd. Instead of checking along the sides or rear of 100 Shmuckatelli and God forbid do their jobs, they leave it at the 100 address and wouldn't you know it I have a neighbor who is a real tool and I have to go around the corner and check his mail box, he doesn't even have the common courtesey to let me know I have mail or just put it in my mail box! As I said he is a real tool! Its hit and miss if I get mail, made complaints to the postmaster, but, it seems it just falls on deaf ears....our tax dollars at work or I should say not at work! :icon_rolleyes:

Maybe you should stick a sign at the 100 address's mail box with a large red arrow pointing around to where your box is at... :icon_rolleyes:

I had a UPS driver leave a package containing a fleece jacket at the side door of my garage, which isn't ever used. No one was home when he delivered it. It snowed that night, covering the package. I reported it lost, recovered my claim from UPS, and re-ordered the jacket. Come Spring we found the original package in the yard next to the garage when it spent the winter buried under the snow. Luckily it was in a heavy sealed plastic shipping envelope, and I now have two identical fleece jackets. Since then, I use my old house in town as a delivery address, there's always someone home there.

I always use the tracking number they issue on each package to know when it is being delivered, all the major carrier's have them. When you go to the site's they even have a text box to leave specific instruction on who, what, when, and where to place the package and you get a text (your cell) or email upon delivery. Because I live in the city where more eyes watch the delivery trucks (not for a good reason), I like to be informed on when it's at my door.
I did have a case where the text came and I went out to get it and it wasn't on my porch. I immediately called FedEx customer service and the driver returned to my house and grabbed the package he delivered next door by mistake, my address ends in 5 and the neighbor 7, he apologized for the confusion. Since that incident it hasn't happened again.

I have a teamster union sticker on the back of my car so when i home (most of the time ) the UPS drivers are very respectful and they even knock on the door if needed.

all they had to do is open
the door to the hallway. and leave it by my mailbox.
its ok though it was not out there long enough to do any damage.
usually they knock on my door. must have been a new driver.

That same thing happened in my area a few years ago, looks like it's making a come back. Another good reason to use " Tracking"
