I am getting a high pitch squeal on certain channels, Only when people key up like 16 and 4. I am only hearing it when certain people key up, I am running a Uniden PC68LTD 50th Anniversary Limited Edition. Also I have SR-A10 Stryker antenna and its amazing so fare. I also have a lowpass filter that I cannot remove due to the Sodial ends are not here coming from Hong Kong.

its important that you ask yourself,,,,do you have good grounding?

are you too close to the other radio's? are they amped radios? are you sure its "other radios" and not something else. can you squelch/NoiseBlank it out?

if you are sure of the problem then take it to a technician.

You are only hearing this squeal on those channels? I'll say it is the close proximity of the transmitting radio. Being a AM radio it is heterodyne, not really a squeal. What is the SWR of the antenna system your using? Why are you using a low pass filter?

since you only get the noise from another radio keying up I would not think it is your radio as far as grounding on your end. how close are the other radios from you and does it do this from all people keying on these channels. some thing does not make a lot of since . if they are close to you it could be over driving your radio if they are close to you.

My swr is 1.5, Also reason for lowpass filter is due to interference. I cannot do anything till I get my sodial ends. Also Class C amplifiers are know to cause this on cb radios, I hear like a heterodyne sound on certain channels.

Okay, "Sodial" is the manufacturer that makes a "barrel connector", that is what we call them. Next time use a pic instead of a **Non Sponsor** link. Don't worry I fixed your post.
